This year’s theme, BUILDING COMMUNITY, BUILDING HOPE, will feature a compelling meld of national and local speakers. County Administrator Steve O’Malley, Mayor Tim Kabat, and Superintendent of Schools Randy Nelson will begin the exciting day at 8:00 am. As in year’s past, a breakfast consisting of fruit, muffins, bagels, donuts, orange juice, milk, and coffee will be provided starting approximately 7:30 am. (Note: Lunch will also be provided.)
1. Know the beginnings of La Crosse County and efforts towards establishing a trauma-informed community. 2. Understand the vital importance of birth/foster/adoptive families working together. 3. Importance of teachers and other professionals being trauma-informed.
